Fri 19th February

The end of Gary Porter’s Walsall career has arrived as Gazza moves his one man injury crisis to the seaside town of Scarborough.

I seem to remember they used to walk Red Rum in the sea at Lytham in an attempt to get him fit for action more quickly. Indeed injured horses are usually shot.

Perhaps if they walk a few more in the sea and get GP to shoot them then there would be loads more horses alive today. I mean how many times out of ten did Gazza hit the target?
More seriously I do wish him well. We didn’t see the Gary Porter who played for Watford as age and injury intervened throughout his time at Walsall but at least in going before he was pushed he has enabled Uncle Ray to bring in another face.

Chesterfield visit tomorrow so start those neck exercises as soon as you get out of bed in the morning cos you're gonna spend a long time looking up at the sky tomorrow afternoon. It's Hoof O'Clock.
