Fri 19th March

We welcome Bristol Rovers to Bescot tomorrow in the return fixture of possibly our bravest performance so far this term.

A 4 -1 drubbing at Fulham the week before meant that at five past three the following Saturday, 2 - 0 down, our season had arrived at it’s first crossroads. Somehow we won the game and in reality haven’t looked back since. Defeat at Bristol Rovers would have given our season the setback many of us expected but the boys have gone from strength to strength proving all the doubters, myself included, wrong.

With eleven games left and a healthy cushion between ourselves and seventh place it appears inconceivable that we miss out on the end of season shake up. Three wins should secure a play off berth and that has to be within our capabilities but the form of Preston and Man City is currently very impressive. The automatic spot is going to take some winning and currently I reckon we may need as many as 90 points.
