So it was a hoax. The cheque book coming out! I mean really!
The last time we paid for two players in one season was so far back it made the Doomsday Book.
We did however sign two players. Rob Stiener from Bradford City (via Q.P.R.) and Nick Henry from Sheffield United. We were also trying to sign a left winger from Crystal Palace but he decided to sign for a pub team in Tattersville instead. I really do hope he does well for them.
Also the Andy Tilson trial came to nothing but we’ve got an attacker and a midfielder in though and to say I’m happy would be an understatement. We now have a first team squad of 22 players which has to be the biggest we’ve had in many seasons. The fact that have a full week to bed into the team will also help matters.
